"I treasure you more than the world itself..." - Protagonist
Description[]
The Protagonist, also known as Dextera (Manga only) or number 13, is a boy who lost his memory and ability to speak but has a sense of guilt at all times.
While wandering though the ominous town after being thrown out of the lab, he was approached by the Archangel. He was ordered by the Archangel to "head to the Neuro Tower" to cleanse the Protagonists sins. He has the ability to 'purify' Meta-Beings and can wield the Angelic Rifle.
Appearance[]
The Protagonists appearance consists of short, messy, dark blue hair and matching blue eyes, usually carrying a constant look of apathy or melancholy.
He typically wears a tattered, light blue shirt held together by bandages and dark, indigo jeans that are covered by metal leg braces and armoured shoes. White bandages wrap around his wrists up to his elbows, and over those are odd yet popular, Malkuth wristbands.
The Protagonists appearance can be changed by wearing various coats and/or imitation wings over his original clothing.
Game Traits[]
The Protagonists purification powers are complex and can do a multitude of things, using blue and green energy that can heal, release beings, kill, and open objects. He can prematurely destroy all things existing, including time and the fabric of reality.
Personality[]
The Protagonist is a complex being with a lot of painted layers, as said by the Mind Reader. Probably because he holds two consciences inside him, 'himself' and his 'brother'. He's also an intelligent scientist who is passionate and wants to bring peace to the ruined world, as a Koriel member. Most likely due to his amnesia, he is gullible and thus a target of manipulation, such as the Archangel telling him that he caused the Blaze and killed his brother.
He carries the pain and sin of the ruined world and listens to others with a pained expression, unable to speak as his voice was forcefully taken from him. He also holds an undying conscience; for when he dies, it goes into his many clones created by the Malkuth scientists that revive him every time and place him outside of the lab that the Sentry Angel guards. He holds a heavy amount of guilt over the death of his younger brother, quickly sacrificing himself so that they can 'switch' places, and having nightmares of his downfall.
His loyalty is unbound, and the only thing that he values more than the world is the Absolute God, as he fuses with her to save the world (see the true ending). In the manga, his and Alice's relationship truly grows, as he protects her in the tower, and she acts as his voice.
He has a high tolerance to negative words, brushing aside the harsh comments spoken to him by the Archangel.
However, his twin brother is the opposite, as he lashes out with whatever he feels.
Trivia[]
- The Protagonist feels the strongest connection to the Absolute God, and he's one of a few that can go near her without going crazy.
- He can throw his own Idea Sephirah without being dead, and can even be permanently separated from it, most likely because he is one of many clones.
- His Idea Sephirah is the only Crystal, aside from that of the Littles, that is unable to be merged with the Crystal Sword.
