Description[]
The Meta-Beings are lifeforms whose appearances are far removed from their human origins due to the Baroques that have completely overtaken them. They have completely lost their hearts and minds, and there is no possible way to communicate with them.
They are typically found in the Neuro Tower however some Moon Meta-Beings (about 7 all up) can be found at the boundaries of the traversable Outer World map.

Trivia[]
- The Meta-Beings are based on tarot cards as shown by their Idea Sephirahs.
- Only Manas, Perisomata, Maleficia and Tabula Smaragdina are based on the minor arcana, while the others represent the major arcana.
- Glue is the only Meta-Being that is not included in the standard tarot deck, it is also the only Meta-Being that can be killed without the Protagonist using an attack. Glue could be likened to the Joker in French playing cards, the tarot card backs, or even the 'glue' that binds the cards.
- As shown in World Guidence, Glue is made and spat out by Katos, making it the only Meta-Being that is produced by other Meta-Beings.
- Moon, which is linked to the moon tarot card, can be found outside of the Neuro Tower. This may be a direct reference to the distortion. These Moons do not target NPCs, the Collector does not give out items from an attack and Longneck will not die by them.
Moon vs Outer World NPCsMoon vs Longneck death - Gliros that steal from you can use said stolen item e.g. throw rock bones at you. A Gliro that successfully pilfers an item will always drop it on death instead of a new heart seed or crystal.
- Meta-Beings can only drop one of two different items unique to that Meta-Being (not including their crystal drop).
- Like the Protagonist, Meta-Beings have weak points i.e. Katos' broadside, Bullger's back, Filth if laying prone, etc.
