"You don't say anything..." - Bagged One

Description[]

The Bagged One is a young girl hanging from the sky in a sack.

She can remember anything that anyone has ever said and comments on people in the past, the present, in-game, and out of the game [1].

Personality[]

The Bagged One is a young, reserved girl who only speaks using other people's words. She has a photographic memory, which means that she remembers everything that has ever happened to her, as well as everything that anyone has ever said.

She is tormented by the memory of her father attempting to kill her. Giving into despair, she stuffed herself with information in order to leave the painful thoughts behind and escape the pain of her torment.

Appearance[]

In-Game Bagged One

The Bagged One, as she appears in-game in the 2008 Baroque remake.

The Bagged One is draped with a brown body bag with two large holes to see through, and a white demonic mask is on her head. The bag is rounded with burgundy straps and gloves. Her torso is wrapped with chains, and her arms are crossed.

Game Traits[]

The Bagged One can be found hanging in the Outer World next to Longneck and the Horned Girl, and is similar to the latter in that she hesitates to speak words of her own;[2] she mostly only repeats that which has already been said.

Knowing of the mind, she is a swelling bag of memories, past and present. She tells you useful pieces of information when items are thrown at her, and the Coffin Man notes this.

Crystal Readings:

  1. Information... Father... A boisterously whirling torrent of memories...
  2. Concealment and restraint... The pain of separation....
  3. A dark, swaying shadow... She knew that this was something that would remain unforgiven.
  4. Unable to forget any of the information that flowed though her five senses. Pain and happiness still vivid.
  5. A swelling bag of memories. All in an attempt to leave a single thought behind somewhere.
  6. Endlessly accumulating information... But no matter how much knowledge she stuffed in, she could not escape that thought.
  7. The confusion and despair never faded inside her. It would be vividly replayed repeatedly. Every time it did, she...
  8. There are two Baroques in this crystal... But now, nothing will be etched inside her thoughts.

Trivia[]

  • In one of her interactions with the player, she will quote the latter half of a poem by real-life author Sakutaro Hagiwara.[1]
  • She apparently has a friend named Marie.

  1. 1.0 1.1 Entry NO. 24 in the Voice List: "In his poem, Sakutaro Hagiwara said, 'O-wah, good evening. / O-wah, good evening. / Wah, wah, wah. / The man of this household is bedridden.'"
  2. The vast majority of the Bagged One's dialogue is just repeated quotes of other characters. However, the line she speaks which triggers once she can be purified, as well as her death quote, is directly from her. Respectively, they are: "To my father, who was strangling me, I said, 'Father! I don't want to die! Help me, stop it, stop it!'" and "I say, 'My father tried to lay his hands on me. Are you trying to erase yourself?'"
